COMPARISON of SDIC, TCCA and CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITES
SDIC CHLORINE
(Nippon TruPower) = with 5.5-7.0 pH -is a very ideal pH and contains Cyanuric Acid Stabilizer which acts as a sunblock to prevent rapid oxidation and enable longer and constant treatment of water.
NO MURIATIC ACID NEEDED -LESS chemical dosing as it lasts longer.
TCCA TABLETS
(Nippon TruPower 90%) = with 2.7-3.3 pH -lower pH fast; with stabilizer compound cyanuric acid, excellent slow dissolving tablet of chlorine that lasts up to 2 weeks.
NO MURIATIC ACID NEEDED- Soda ash to raise pH to an ideal level of 7.2 - 7.6
CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE
Granules: = (9.5-10.8 pH) -very high pH level and are WITHOUT CYANURIC ACID, reactive to fast oxidation on exposure to sun's UV rays cause rapid depletion of chlorine level in pool. It requires frequent chlorine dosing, tests and pH adjustments.
Muriatic Acid is a must.
WHAT IS DICHLOROISOCYANURATE ?
It is the sodium salt of a chlorinated hydroxy triazine. It is the source of available free chlorine in the form of hypochlorous acid that is widely used as a stable chlorine disinfectant of drinking water, treatment for swimming pools, general sanitation in the food plants and hospital complex.
WHAT IS SODIUM DICHLOROISOCYANURATE (SDIC) ?
It is an inorganic compound that when it dissolves, it's colorless. Water soluble solid is widely applied for the sterilization of swimming pools, drinking water, fight against infectious diseases and act general disinfectant in the food industry, hospitals, livestock, poultry and fish stock.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF SODIUM DICHLOROISOCYANURATE?
Harmful by inhalation and if it swallowed. It's irritating to your eyes, skin and respiratory system; very toxic to aquatic organisms that may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.
HOW DOES SODIUM DICHLOROISOCYANURATE WORK?
NaDCC Tablets and NaOCI solution disinfect water by releasing free available chlorine in the form of hypochlorous acid, which is an effective microbicide against a wide range of bacteria, viruses, and parasites.
IS SODIUM DICHLOROISOCYANURATE FOR BLOOD SPILLAGES?
It is recommended for spillages because it is resistant to organic matter, less corrosive, and has a longer shelf life than hypochlorite solutions. It's also in tablets or granules.
IS SODIUM DICHLOROISOCYANURATE A DISINFECTANT?
It is a broad-spectrum disinfectant agent that is often used in the health system. Particularly in the cases of Clostridium difficile to be effective against bacteria and spores, an adequate concentration of HQCI molecules is required.
IS SODIUM DICHLOROISOCYANURATE A CHLORINE BLEACH?
There are several types of chlorine bleach, but the most commonly known one being liquid is sodium hypochlorite (NaOCI). Other types of chlorine-based bleaching and disinfecting compounds included Calcium hypochlorite (CaCIO2) and Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC), among others.
IS CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE AND SODIUM DICHLOROISOCYANURATE HARMFUL?
SDIC and CaCIO2 can irritate the skin and burn the eyes.
Breathing Chlorines can irritate the nose and throat causing coughing and wheezing.
It is highly REACTIVE CHEMICAL and an EXPLOSION HAZARD.
Never use water to put out fire. Use approved chemical fire extinguisher only.
Handle with Extreme Care- keep always dry and store solo in cool dry place.
Dispose off immediately when container gets HOT.
